In these turbulent times, we want to inform people that we are indeed open for business. With the present health concerns surrounding the virus, Tradition Outdoor Living is implementing several key changes to our work process to help combat COVID-19. Our goal is to limit physical contact and increase our utilization of web-based meetings to ensure the safety of everyone involved and limit the spread of the virus.

Our Process

We will continue starting the planning process by having an initial phone call to get basic details about what you want to build and how we can help.

From there, we schedule a meeting for our project developer to come to your home and gather measurements and data. Your project developer will meet you by the front door, and then simply request you meet them at the side gate for entry to the proposed project area. We will adhere to strict social distancing guidelines from the CDC, so please don’t take offense when there is no professional handshake. The Project Developer will take pictures, measurements, and gather any information you can provide to assist in the designing process. Please provide any design detail information (pictures, survey, notes, etc) you may have in electronic form via email, text, photo, etc.

The project developer will then take all the information gathered and begin the design of your outdoor living environment. They will create your home using architectural design software and then ad on the new addition so we can get a virtual rendition of the finished project.

Typically, we would set a date to return and show you our design and proposal in person. However, in light of current events, we would like to alter this to be an online meeting via a video conference program where we can show you the presentation and discuss details, questions, or design changes you may have. It will be awkward at first, but we believe this is the safest course of action as we get through this stressful time together.

Once the proposal is agreed upon and a contract is signed, we will handle and file all the necessary forms for HOA submissions and city permit applications. We have experience submitting HOA plans and attaining city permits in nearly every neighborhood in Houston and the surrounding areas. We take care of filling out all of the information for you.

When we move forward with the building process, all of our employees and sub-contractors will continue to adhere to strict social distancing guidelines while they are working on your property. This is to ensure the safety of our workers and your family.

Moving forward

Since the majority of our work is done outdoors, we are fortunate enough to make some simple changes to our sales/customer interaction process that allow us to continue doing business in a safe manner. Our thoughts and prayers are going out to those businesses more broadly affected by recent restrictions. If you have any suggestions for us, or if there is anything we can do to help you feel more comfortable and protect your health as well as ours, we will be quick to listen and happy to accommodate. Thanks!
