Project Developer- Houston

Job Description

We are seeking a Project Developer with good communication and project management skills for a challenging and rewarding career in the outdoor living industry.  Our ideal candidate is willing to cover an area in the Katy/Fulshear or Cypress region to Design, Propose, Sell, and Manage residential construction projects.  Project Management duties include ensuring high level of quality, material take-off and sourcing, scheduling material deliveries and labor, adhering to budgets.   

Daily Job Duties:

  • Meeting with customers to gather information for their project.
  • Design and propose project to customer.
  • Establish and maintain a project budget.
  • Schedule and manage projects from start to finish.
  • Clearly communicate the work to be completed by subcontractors.
  • Review and update progress and cost reports, schedules, and requirements for completion on a regular basis to Operations Manager.
  • Positive attitude and punctuality are a MUST.

Education

  • Driver’s License and US work authorization Required
  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree – Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent major preferred
  • Ability to Learn CAD program to create drawings and specifications

Experience 

  • Residential Construction Experience Required.
  • Client Focus with Ethics, Values, Integrity, Trust.
  • Dependability and Punctuality are required.
  • Good time management skills and organizational skills.
  • Ability to create drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to understand design and create material take-offs.
  • Ability to understand and follow directions.
  • Ability to always maintain discretion and confidentiality.
  • Demonstrates leadership skills with ability and willingness to face challenges, solve problems, and motivate others, while maintaining effective relationships with customers by meeting or exceeding their expectations.

Knowledge 

  • Broad understanding of residential construction, plumbing, electrical, and masonry products.
  • Basic math/accounting skills related to project management.
  • General Project Management skills Preferred.
  • General Sales Experience Preferred.
  • Demonstrates proficiency using a personal computer (PC) and company communication tools, such as email, internet, and Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, Office, Outlook, Project).
