This custom outdoor living project in Humble, Texas features a 41’ x 20’ covered patio designed to elevate backyard entertaining while standing up to Houston-area weather conditions.

The patio cover was constructed using Hardie beams and supported by posts finished in Hardie with a 3-foot stone base.

The patio cover was constructed using Hardie beams and supported by posts finished in Hardie with a 3-foot stone base. The posts and outdoor kitchen were wrapped in Chateau Blend stone, creating a cohesive, high-end look throughout the space. Eastern Buff steppers were used as post base toppers, adding a subtle architectural detail that enhances the overall design.

This layout provides ample prep space, storage, and cooking versatility, making it ideal for hosting gatherings year-round.

Outdoor Kitchen

The custom outdoor kitchen was designed for serious outdoor cooking and entertaining and includes:

  • Chateau Blend stone base cabinetry

  • New Romano Satin countertops

  • RCS outdoor kitchen appliances

  • 40” gas grill

  • Sink

  • Double side burner

  • Storage doors and trash pull-out

  • Pull-out drawer refrigerator

This layout provides ample prep space, storage, and cooking versatility, making it ideal for hosting gatherings year-round.

 

To extend the usability of the space into cooler evenings, a custom stone outdoor fireplace was installed.

The covered patio was finished with a tongue-and-groove West Coast IPA, adding warmth and contrast while giving the space a classic, upscale appearance. Underfoot, the patio features natural stone paver flooring using travertine cross-cut cream 24” x 48” pavers, chosen for their timeless look, durability, slip resistance, and ability to stay cool underfoot in the Texas heat.

 

Every element of this covered patio and outdoor kitchen was selected to complement the home’s architecture while delivering long-lasting performance.
